Convert NEF Files

NEF (stands for Nikon Electronic Format) and it represent the raw files captured by Nikon digital cameras. Typically, these images contain exactly the data captured by the camera, therefore they are uncompressed.

NEF files are unprocessed images that cannot be printed or edited prior to having been saved to the computer and encoded to a common graphic format.

Therefore, the only way to adjust NEF images is to use a graphic converter and encode them to other formats.

Also, NEF converters will enable users to preview the images and to perform basic editing operations, like rotation, crop or magnifying.
