TIFF stands for Tagged Image File Format and it is a graphic file format supporting layers and multiple pages. It is used largely in image-manipulation applications, scanning, faxing, optical character recognition or other software solutions.

This format is highly flexible since it stores graphics and data within one file, integrating header tags such as size, compression type or image details.
