Clipto Changelog

What's new in Clipto 7.2.17 Pre-release

Nov 16, 2021
  • New:
  • Existing files can be attached to the notes in the same way as on Android (Note -> :menu -> Attachments -> ...)
  • In Note's text input field it is possible to use some specific hotkey combinations (the logic is applied for the selection or the current line if the selection is not set):
  • Tab - Indent lines
  • Shift+Tab - Outdent selection
  • Alt+Shift+Down - Move selection down
  • Alt+Shift+Up - Move selection up
  • Cmd+D / Ctrl+D - Duplicate selection
  • Cmd+U / Ctrl+U - Uppercase selection
  • Cmd+Shift+U / Ctrl+Shift+U - Lowercase selection
  • Changed behaviour:
  • Now the app does not prevent you from saving empty notes or notes with title only or with attachments only. The change is done because the app does not know the reason why the text is not set and should not prevent you from doing so;
  • Fixes:
  • Write clipboard buffer in UTF-8 encoding. Let me know if it impacts the copy/paste behaviour on your platform;
  • Shifted focus should correctly set focus on Title or Text depending on the chosen state;
  • Hotkeys now correctly applied on change. So it should be possible to change a hotkey for 'Delete note' and use it without reopening the app;
  • Auto-start issues (#116, #87, #109)) (now it should work anywhere except for the AppImage format due to its runtime generated temporary urls). Need to switch the toggle again in order to apply this fix.;
  • Use outlined icon for Settings Flat Mode;
  • Fixed issues with disappeared left navigation on some platforms with specific conditions;
  • Do not inform about new version if it is lower (#104, #123, #97, #101)

New in Clipto 7.2.6 (Sep 29, 2021)

  • Fixes:
  • Different issues with clipboard tracking and possible corner cases with disabled synchronisation when the total number of notes from the clipboard >= the limit
  • Some issues with synchronisation logic
  • Window/Linux standard maximise/minimise behaviour (#120)

New in Clipto 7.2.3 (Sep 29, 2021)

  • UI:
  • Interface is more consistent with the latest mobile versions.
  • UX Improvements:
  • Now it is possible to drag notes in the main list over tags in the left navigation to assign the tag to the dragged note.
  • Top bar is colorised with the applied theme.
  • Tags:
  • Now it is possible to edit tags (rename, delete, change their order in the left navigation).
  • Filters:
  • Advanced Search is more powerful (as on Android) and can be used to search your notes with more details. It can also be saved as a new filter to be available in the left navigation as a regular category.
  • Attachments:
  • Now it is possible to rename attachments, update its content, add abbreviation and description.
  • Notes with attachments can be merged (it was not available before).
  • It is just a preparation step of another big update with more powerful ways of working with files.
  • Now if you accidentally delete attachment from a note, do not worry, because the file is not deleted physically and it will be possible to access such files when the functionality will be fully implemented.
  • Notes:
  • Notes support abbreviation and description (the same functionality is available in Android version 7.x as well).
  • Public Links:
  • Some internal changes were made to make it possible create a link almost from any object in the app (note, file) or any selection of objects in the app. Now it is not available yet, but will be upgraded as soon as the same changes will be implemented on Android.
  • Improved:
  • Internal changes in synchronisation logic to reduce the number of write operations while copying notes frequently
  • Text Font and Text Size can be configured from the main list
  • Rune 'Revive' as on Android (restore last filter on restart)
  • Translations (Danish, Hungarian, Swedish)
  • Theme 'Dark Green' as on Android
  • Easter Eggs:
  • Note and File's screen toolbar can be swiped left/right to toggle between 'Focus' and 'Default' view.
  • Note's screen bottom sheet with metadata can be resized. The size and open/close state is saved across restarts.
  • Fixes:
  • Duplicate notes were created sometimes on regular Copy actions or while using the functionality 'Notes from Clipboard'
  • Clipboard auto-cleanup issues (#88, #90, #106, #115)
  • Spellchecker (#110)
