  • ServiceNow Integration:
  • OpManager is now integrated with ServiceNow (provided as a default plugin). This integration allows you to log tickets on ServiceNow from OPM.
  • User Specific Dashboard:
  • Users will now have their dashboard mapped to their profile. This unique dashboard can be customized based on the user's needs.
  • Windows and Hyper-V 2019 support:
  • OpManager has now been upgraded to support Windows 2019 and Hyper-V 2019 devices.
  • Add Custom SNMP Monitor:
  • Custom SNMP monitor creation has been added now. You can create/modify device templates to configure your own monitors for the SNMP-enabled devices in your network.
  • 9500 device templates:
  • The number of device templates supported by OpManager is increased to 9500. They help with the initial configurations to classify the devices into pre-defined categories, and to associate monitors to them. You can modify existing templates or create your own as per your requirements.
  • Horizontal tab GUI:
  • To enhance your user experience, we have added a horizontal view. This user-focused design is specifically introduced to minimize navigation woes and enhance user experience.
  • AlarmsOne Integration:
  • AlarmsOne is now integrated with OpManager. AlarmsOne can be used to manage all your alarms in one console. It makes alert management simple with features like criteria-based alerting, noise reduction, on-call scheduling, escalations, etc.

  • CMDB Plug-in Support - The Plug-in helps you to get in-depth visibility of your assets present in your IT environment. This allows you to manage all your IT components based on their business criticality and make informed decisions
  • Root Cause Analysis - Enterprise IT departments need sophisticated monitoring for each aspect of their operations, from basic infrastructure to bandwidth, applications and change management. However, these sophisticated tools churn out alerts at an alarming rate and volume, making it difficult to manipulate the alerts and find the root cause of the problem. This is now supported in OpManager
  • Functional Expression Support - Functional Expression such as Byte to GB, Celsius to Fahrenheit, String to Numeric, Column Min , Column Max, Numeric to String etc are now supported for SNMP based monitors. Option to store or just alert is also provided now.
  • Multi language Support - Language selection options such as Chinese, Japanese, French, Korean etc. are provided in the OpManager webclient
  • Pass Through Authentication support is available now
  • Security vulnerability in Postgres database is addressed now.

New in ManageEngine OpManager 9.4 Build 9400 (Dec 11, 2012)

  • AD Single Sign on:
  • Authenticate user access through Active Directory - Allow all the active directory users or the users in a specific group of an AD domain to gain access to OpManager web-client. The access privileges can be managed by the administrator. Alternatively, the administrator can also add an individual user and choose the user type as 'AD authentication' for confirming the user access privileges through Active Directory.
  • NetApp Storage Monitoring:
  • Never run out of storage space - In addition to device templates for over 700 device types out-of-the-box, a new device template and an exclusive device snapshot for NetApp storage devices monitoring has been included in this release. The newly included device template monitors over 50 metrics for NetApp storage devices. The categories include Aggregate monitors, Disk monitors, Filer monitors, Hardware monitors, LUN monitors, Performance monitors, Quota monitors, Snapvault monitors and Volume monitors.
  • Microsoft Windows 8, 2012 and SQL 2012 monitoring:
  • Stay tuned to the performance of client OS, server OS and database from Microsoft - Newer device templates are introduced for monitoring Microsoft client OS version Windows 8, Server OS version 2012 and enterprise database SQL 2012.
  • Closer integration with NCM plug-in:
  • Accelerate problem resolution with deep NCM integration - Quickly view the 'last network configuration changed', 'backup operation performed' and execute backup operation or a command from the network device's snapshot page or from OpManager alarms page. Further, to keep an eye on the network configuration, you can add the data and report from NCM plug-in into OpManager customer dashboard as widgets.
  • iPhone App for OpManager:
  • Connect to OpManager server and view the performance of all the devices, recent alarms, and business views from your iPhone.
  • Gain granular visibility on network events:
  • To avert false positives, the consecutive times check for status polling is now extended to service monitors, windows service monitors, interface poll and event log monitors.
  • Separate Alarm is raised for Status Poll, Service down and Windows Service down for better clarity and granular notification handling
  • Provides Regex threshold support for String SNMP monitors
  • CCTV View will include WebAlarm links

  • ManageEngine's private social network for IT - When a technician acknowledges, unacknowledges, or clears an alarm in OpManager, the same is automatically posted on ITPulse wall. You can also view the details of such alarms from ITPulse itself and discuss the troubleshooting steps.
  • REST API new additions and enhancement:
  • Performance more action with OpManager REST API - Over 25 different actions can now be performed through OpManager REST API, including listing the alarms and devices, triggering a notification profile and more. In addition to the existing XML format support, the REST API will support JSON too. Discovery Rule Engine: Rerun the rule engine to a selected set of devices at any point of time.
