New in Media Gallery Manager 1.7.1 (May 16, 2012)
- Java heap space exception when generating thumbnails for large TIFF images.
- In rare cases a null pointer exception occures during uploading of images. All images are uploaded correctly but the thumbnail may be missing from the thumbnail view until the next time the gallery is selected.
- When selecting another local folder while not all thumbnails of the current selected folder are loaded the progress display may switch between previous and new selected folder.

- New Features:
- Create/modify/delete Collections
- Add and remove photos to/from collections
- Pause and resume uploads or downloads which are in the queue but have not been started yet. This can be handy if one temporarily needs the full bandwidth of the internet connection in one or both directions.
- The synchronize operations (batch upload/download) can be started in preview mode. This performs a complete synchronization and queues all files to be uploaded or downloaded, but does not start uploading/downloading until the Resume Upload or Resume Download button is pressed or appropriate menu item is clicked.
- Live transfer progress for uploads and downloads. Watch in realtime the number of uploaded/downloaded images, megabytes and elapsed and remaining upload/download time.
- Added menu items to remove all successful uploads/downloads from the queue. This can be handy when a huge amount of finished uploads/downloads are in the queue but some have failed and one wants to quickly get the filenames of the images that have not been uploaded/downloaded.
- Support for 2nd monitor. Upload/download queue, protocol pane and live progress can be displayed in a second window which can be moved to a 2nd monitor.
- The application remembers size and position of the application window upon restart of the application.
- Hide the toolbars (buttons) to have more real estate for galleries and thumbnails.
- Display number of images in selected gallery on Zenfolio and local folder.
- Added menu item to open the user protocol in the default text viewer of the operation system. The user protocol is a log file stored on local harddrive that keeps all the messages appearing in the protocol panel not only for the current session but also for all past usages of the application.
- Improvements:
- Show progress dialog when deleting multiple selected images with ability to cancel deleting of remaining images.
- Added context menus (right mouse click popup menus) to the panels: "Download Queue", "Upload Queue" and the thumbnail views for local harddrive and Zenfolio galleries.
- Fixed Issues:
- MGM crashes when deleting a local folder (problem report window is appearing)
- When deleting images from a collection it actually deletes the image from Zenfolio completely. This is fixed so that deleting of images from a collections actually removes the images from the collection but the images are NOT deleted from their origin galleries.

- Exclude Files and Folders from synchronization. Define a list filters for files and folders that should be excluded from the synchronize remote operation
- Add new uploaded images to a collection. This feature can be used to automatically maintain a collection of recently uploaded images
- Export Gallery List. Export a list of galleries and collection contained in a group and its subgroups
- Improvements:
- Added keyboard shortcuts for creating, modifying and deleting of folders, groups, galleries and images. A list of all keyboard shortcuts can be found in the Help Center
- The export image list and export gallery list features are now displaying a progress dialog while the information is fetched from Zenfolio servers
- Fixed Issues:
- In some cases of failed uploads no error message is added to the protocol tab
- In some rare cases the thumbnails of new uploaded images are not displayed on the right thumbnail panel until the gallery is selected again
