Application Performance Boost:
We constantly work on performance optimization, which resulted in today's boost of up to 25% for the Nicepage Desktop Applications.
Our tests showed 20-25% performance increases for Windows and 40% for Apple ARM computers. Some computers show an increase in performance of up to 30%.
Windows 7 And 8 Support Discontinued:
Microsoft discontinued support for Windows 7 in 2020 and Windows 8 in 2023. Therefore, many manufacturers of development software also discontinued support for these operating systems.
Since we use the newest versions of development tools, we had to move to Windows 10 and discontinue support of Windows 7 and 8 support in the Desktop applications.
The application installed on Windows 7 and 8 will not receive update notifications, and newer installations downloaded from nicepage.com will not start.
If you do not want to upgrade to Windows 10 and want to use the latest Nicepage update, you can move your projects online.
Animation Properties Improved:
Animation Presets Collapsed:
We optimized the display of the Presets for the Run on Display, Hover, Box Hover, Image Background Hover, and Start Position Animation Types, showing them in one line in the Property Panel after the application.
On Scroll Animations Separated:
We have separated the Scroll Animations, and now the Sunc On Scroll and Run On Display Animations are separate in the Property Panel, allowing easier management.
Add Panel Improved:
Hide Quick Access On Add:
We now hide the Quick Access Pane when the Add Panel is open for a clearer User Interface.
Partial Overlap Elements With Blocks:
We also overlap Elements partially when adding a new Block.
Theme Colors & Fonts Improved:
Theme Colors & Fonts In Settings:
Due to the usability tests, we added the Theme Colors & Fonts link to the Quick Access Settings Panel.
Theme Settings Navigation Reworked:
We have also improved the navigation between the Theme Elements.
Theme Settings In Quick Access:
We have moved the Theme Settings Icon closer to Site Settings and separated this group on the Quick Access Pane.
Currency Symbol Automatically:
We have fixed the display of the Currency Symbol to be shown automatically based on the user's locale. For example, for the Switzerland, it will show CHF.
Header & Footer Marker Titles:
We added the titles to be shown on the Header and Footer, as new users do not understand those block dimensions.
Slider Arrow Width & Height:
We have changed the properties to set the Arrow Icon for the Slider Elements. Now, you can adjust the Width and Height of the Arrows.

New in Nicepage 4.17.7 (Aug 24, 2022)

Easy Form Submitting To Email For HTML, WordPress, and Joomla Sites:
Now by default, the Email for Contact Forms works for all export types, including HTML, WordPress, and Joomla. Previously, this option was available only for websites published on Nicepage Hosting.
This new feature is a simple alternative to WordPress Contact 7, Joomla Form, and Send Email with PHP Script requiring server configuration. The Email Notification does not need server coding.
In the current update, you can receive notifications only to the emails linked to your Nicepage account.
Hide Elements In Editor:
In Nicepage 4.16, we have added the Lock Layers feature. In this update, we have supported the Hide Elements in the Editor, allowing you to hide elements and containers in the Outline.
Distance Between Selected Elements:
You can change the Distance between selected Elements in Property Panel by entering the value or dragging the cursor on the icon.
For now, you can alter the Distance only in one direction, horizontally or vertically.
Contact Form Field Label:
We have added the checkbox for the Label of the Contact Form Element in the Property Panel. You can now show and hide the Label easier.
Current Language In Page Settings:
For Multi-Language Sites, you can edit the Title and Description for the chosen language in the SEO Tab of the Page Settings.
Translation For Contact Form:
From this update, you can translate the Contact Form Elements Fields.
Website Publishing By Default:
We have changed the Publish And Export dialog. And now, the Website Publish is the default dialog option.
Custom Domain Verification:
If you publish your Site to Nicepage and assign your domain, you can verify the connection by clicking on the Check Domain button.
Video Lesson: Text Element:
We have started the new Ncepage Video Lessons to help you with the Nicepage Essentials. The first video is about the Text Element, and we continue working on others.
Header Element List:
We have also optimized the Header Element list in the Quick Access Pane Add Panel by leaving only popular and moving other items under the More link.
The list looks more compact and usable, and the previous Header Elements are still found easily.
Publish JFIF Images:
We have supported the JFIF image format for all Export options and Website Publish.

We have added support for the export of the Joomla 4 Template from the Desktop Applications.
In the Export dialog, you can choose the Joomla 4. x.
NOTE: In this update, you can export only the Template for Joomla 4. We are working on the Editor Extension for Joomla 4, which will be available in future updates.
Quick Access Panels:
We have made several improvements in the Quick Access Panels.
Site Settings Panel Search:
Now you can find the required settings faster by typing letters in the Search field in the Site Settings Panel.
Theme Settings Panel Author:
To simplify the location of the Author field in the Site Settings, we have added the Author Item into the Site Settings Panel, which opens the Theme Tab in the Site Settings.
Folders (Beta):
We have also improved the user experience with the Page Folders.
Keep Open Folder:
We have changed the behavior of the open state for the Page Folder. Now while switching the Panels in the Quick Access, the opened Folder remains open.
Open Folder for Active Page:
If you open a Page, you will see the entire open Folders' path in the Pages Panel.
Theme Settings in Site Properties:
After removing the Theme links in the Site Settings, users had difficulties finding Theme Settings. Therefore, we have added the Theme Button in the General Tab of the Site Settings to simplify it.
Import Block In Page Context Menu:
Previously, you could use the Import Block operation only from the Side Menu. We have also added this option to the Context Menu of a Page, so when there are no Blocks on a Page, you can import a Block without adding an extra Block.

Transparency In Color Box:
We have added the checkered background for the Color Box in the Property Panel, so you understand if you have added a Custom Color with the Transparency.
Icons:
Our usability tests show that Icon Properties need improvements.
Change Icon Preview
We have added the Icon Preview near the Change Icon Button in the Property Panel.
In-Text Icon Position:
Users like to add icons in texts. However, previously, it was not that convenient to work with them. To change the Icon position, you had to cut and paste it to another text side. To simplify this, we have added the Icon Align buttons allowing to change position automatically.
In-Text Icon Size In Pixels:
We have added the Icon Size slider to simplify its resize, and now it is in pixels. As for many users, ratio sizing was not noticeable.
In-Text Icon Offset:
We have also added the Offset for the In-Text Icon allowing you to fine-tune its positioning by the Text.

Support for Slide Swiping on Mobiles:
We have supported slide swiping for mobile device users with touch screens. The swiping now works automatically on all sliding Elements, including Slider, Image Slider, Product Image Slider, and Full-Width Slider.
Slider Arrows for Tablets and Phones:
We have added the Slider Arrow to be shown on Tablets and Mobile Phones. Now you will see Slider Arrows for Tables and Phones on all sliding Elements, including Slider, Image Slider, Product Image Slider, and Full-Width Slider. We have added the Hide On Devices property to the Property Panel to enable the display of Slider Arrows on Mobile Views.
Icon In Text Spacing:
We have added spacing for the Icon In Text. Now you do not need to use Spaces for adding the indent between the Icon and Text.
Slide Item Navigator:
For your convenience, we have made the Slide Item Navigator smaller for the bugger amount of Slides. Before, if the Slider was not wide enough, the Slide Items' width was too big. Now, if the number of Slides is more than five, the Slide Item Navigator becomes smaller, automatically showing only numbers without words.
Contact Form Button Height:

50+ New Google Fonts
We have renewed the available font list by adding 50+ New Google Fonts. We have also updated the Font Widths, and all popular and existing fonts got the new widths. For example, the Roboto Slab Font had four, and now it got nine Font Widths.
Enhanced Drag and Drop Speed:
We are continuing to optimize the performance of the Drag and Drop operation. On average, the speed has increased five times on the bigger pages. We want to increase speed and improve the performance in the future even more.

Multi-Select for Table Сells
We have added the Multiselect for Table Сells. Now you can edit them all at once in the Property Panel.
Removed Active Row and Active Column
Since we now have the Multiselect, we have removed the Active Row and Active Column Tabs.
Wide Option for Table:
We have added the Wide Option for the Table to make it Wide and Boxed.
List Repeater Element (Beta):
We have added the List Repeater allowing to stylize Elements similarly. You can edit one List Item, and other items will have the same style automatically.
Adding List:
For the List Element in the Add Dialog, you see the presets of Blank Layouts, Blocks, and Designs.
Adding Elements to List:
Adding an Element into a List Item automatically adds this Element to all other List Items.
Moving Elements in List:
Moving an Element in a List Item, moves this Element in all other List Items.
Editing Properties of List Items:
Editing Properties for an Element in one List Item changes the same properties for similar Elements in other Items.
Background on List Items:
You can have different Backgrounds for the List Items. Also, you can make them all the same in one click. It also will work for Rectangles and Groups.
List Columns and Rows:
The number of Columns and Rows duplicates Items to fill the List.
List in Responsive Modes:
You can set the different number of columns in the Responsive Modes.
Icon List:
We have added the Icon List to the Add Dialog.
We have added Font and SVG icons to the Change Icon popup.
Multi-Select Properties:
You can change the properties of several elements with the same type in the Property Panel. Also, you can choose Elements in different Grid Cells and Groups.
Search:
Search Results:
Now we show the Elements with their sections as well as the disabled Elements.
Back Operation:
We have added the Back button that returns to the Search Results preserving the phrase.
Tooltip for Responsive Modes:
Hovering the button for the Responsive Mode, now you can see the tooltip informing about the screen width, which triggers that Mode.

Editing Colors:
Additional Colors:
You can edit the additional color at once if it is selected. Other additional colors are modified by hovering them.
By clicking the Edit icon, you can change the color.
Theme Colors:
Theme Colors can be now easily edited in the pop-up without navigating to the Theme >> Colors page.
Delete Color:
The Delete icon appears in the color context toolbar on hover. If the color was previously used, it will be retained in the design but will be removed from the Pallete.

Our usability tests show that many users expect Header and Footer Styles to be accessible from the Add Block Menu. Therefore, we have added these options.

Now the central magnet is displayed while resizing the Block.
Single Menu for Adding:
Many users had problems with understanding two different lists for adding blocks, containers, and elements. Many thought that some element did not exist. Now we are showing the full list of controls when using the Add option.
More Space After Footer In the Editor:
We saw that it was hard to change the Footer Height as the lower marker was unreachable. This space is present only in the Editor and not on the exported websites.
Group Drag-And-Drop:
We have added the special marker for identifying the Group. It also can be used to drag and drop the Group.

Working With Colors:
Color Picker:
Please note that we have added the Color Picker to help you to work with colors only in the Desktop Version for now.
Color Preview:
While selecting a color, you can see the color preview in the Editor. For now, we are only having problems with the Cell Fill Preview, will be fixed in the next update.
Add Color And Edit Palette:
We have changed the Add Color button for adding more colors for your websites and move the Edit link to the top of the Color dialog. This link opens the Edit Palette section in the Theme Settings.

The usability tests showed that Block Alignment operation is popular. We have added this operation to the Panel.
User Interface Simplifying:
We have started to work on simplifying of the User Interface. Now, the Padding and Margins show only numbers, and the field dimensions are shown only on hover, then the click activates the input, and after the list is displayed.
Value Selection:
We have changed the value selection process, and now, you can select the value by a click, and you can start entering the new value at once.

After a series of usability testing, we have found that there was no clear understanding of what element was active at the moment. Therefore, we changed that, now only the active element is blue.

We have changed the selection for the Group and Grid. Now we use double line.
Block And Grid Resize:
While resizing a Block or Grid, we made the structure visible. While resizing the Block, you will see the dimensions of any element, and for Grid, you will see Paddings.
Showing Sizes:
We have fixed the display of the Grid Size while resizing the Grid.
Moving Outside:
We have additionally emphasized the understanding when the element moves out of the Group by coloring the Group while dragging elements outside.
Padding And Distances:
We have changed the approach to calculating the distances. Now the distance is calculated to the Padding marker.
