Peach Changelog

What's new in Peach 2.0.1

Nov 10, 2017
  • Fixes an issue where Peach would occasionally rudely block system shutdown. No more!

New in Peach 2.0.0.0 (Oct 27, 2017)

  • Full-Screen Apps Peach can now take app windows and make them Full Screen. What does this mean? This means that this app will get its own temporary Virtual Desktop with its own name, but only for the lifetime of this app. If you close the window, or unmaximize it, Peach will switch back to where you came from. If you're familiar with macOS Full Screen applications, this will feel very familiar! Try it by selecting a window and pressing `Ctrl-Alt-Shift-X`.
  • What happened to Auto-Fullscreen? If you tried our 2.0 Alpha, you may have remembered the ""Auto-Fullscreen maximized windows"" feature - this feature is coming soon, though it had to be disabled in this release due to some tricky edge cases.
  • Improve the Fundamentals Due to a number of performance improvements, Peach now uses _almost no CPU_ while in use - this means your laptop battery will last even longer. We've also continued with the window focus improvements we started in 1.2.0, making sure the right window is set as the foreground window so that your hands never have to leave the keyboard.
  • Bug Fixes:
  • Fixed an issue where we wouldn't correctly detect Mac keyboards and apply the Toggle shortcut workaround
  • Fix a crash where we can 't detect the current keyboard layout for some applications
