  • New Features:
  • Added a version check to make sure that old files will be updated and saved with correct property values when analyzed in the new version.
  • Corrections:
  • Corrected an issue with applying the Property Multiplier for multi-material sections.
  • Improved the mesh algorithm for the Torsional J calculation to better handle the analysis of imported DXF shapes.
  • Fixed the display of non-real results (i.e. results that cannot be calculated due to a negative property multiplier).

  • Added the ability to assign Hot Rolled Steel shape types to sections so that they may be designed for code check values once imported into RISA-3D, RISAFloor, and RISA-2D.
  • Updated to an improved file format. Now all RISASection files will have a .nmsx extension.
  • Corrected an issue where the moments of inertia were not changing for rotated shapes.
  • Corrected an issue where the program would not accept certain bend radius values for Cold Formed Steel shapes.
