  • Outlook Calendar and Contacts Synchronization Improvements:
  • For Calendar sync, a new feature lets users remove ALL synchronized activities from both Outlook and Sage ACT! at one time so that they can go back to the Sage ACT! calendar before activities were synchronized from Outlook. For Contacts sync, users can click a new link to see information on how matching works for contacts synchronization and how they can scan for duplicates.
  • New Best Practices Links Added to the Import and Export Wizards:
  • These "best practices" links contain helpful information so that users can import and export data successfully. Items include: what to do before you import or export, how to ensure the source file is properly formatted, and how data in fields in mapped between the source file and Sage ACT!.
  • Data Security for Outlook and Google integration over Secure Sockets Layer (SSL):
  • Configure IIS to use SSL on the Sage ACT! Premium (access via web) default web site.
  • Sage ACT! Premium Trial users who purchase Sage ACT! Pro can easily install Sage ACT! Pro and continue using their data:
  • For users on trial versions of Sage ACT! Premium, if you decide to purchase Sage ACT! Pro, a feature was added to let you move from the trial version to paid version without having to save the Premium database to a Pro database before you install Sage ACT! Pro.
  • New Web Administration Features:
  • Several new features were added to Sage ACT! Premium (access via web) to help Administrators work in the browser instead of logging on to the server.
  • Manage Users - Administrators can now add, edit, and delete users from Sage ACT! Premium (access via web).
  • Password Security -Set password security from Sage ACT! Premium (access via web).
  • Manage Teams - Administrators can now add, edit, and delete teams from Sage ACT! Premium (access via web).
  • Lock/Unlock Database - Administrators can lock and unlock a database if they need to reset password security, manage users or teams.
  • New Edit and Save Attachments on Sage ACT! Premium (access via web):
  • Sage ACT! Premium (access via web) users can now edit and save attachments, such as Microsoft Office documents/attachments.
  • New Google and Gmail Integration:
  • You can integrate Sage ACT! with your Google contacts and calendar and record histories of emails from your Gmail account. For more information, see About Google Integration.
  • New Universal Search Feature:
  • A new universal Search feature lets you search in all contacts, groups, companies, and opportunities, as well as notes, histories, activities, and even attachments to find the information you are looking for. The Search text box appears to the right of the global toolbar so that you can search from any view. Search is also easily accessed on the Navbar and Lookup menu from any view. Enter your search term and results are displayed by relevance. You can filter to search just contacts or attachments or by date edited.
  • New Sage ACT! Scratchpad:
  • Works inside or outside of Sage ACT!. Write things down that you need to remember. Then, easily transfer the item into Sage ACT! as a note, history, or activity.
  • New Connections View and Sage Connected Services for ACT! Discoverability for Trial Use:
  • Sage ACT! has a new Connections view that provides access to the new and improved Sage Connected Services for ACT!. The Connections view is accessed from the Navbar and View menu. An improved signup experience and account management for supported services and integrated tools was implemented to get you up and running quickly.
  • See a Detailed Summary and Status of Imported Records in the Import Wizard:
  • The Import Wizard contains a new page that has a link to the import log with a detailed summary and status of the imported records, including any import failures.
  • Quickly Locate, Open, and Share Databases:
  • The Open database menu command was revised to Open/Share Database. The Open dialog box was redesigned to let you see all Sage ACT! databases on your computer and share and unshare them (Sage ACT! Administrators only).
  • Easier Setup for Internet Mail Accounts:
  • Setting up an Internet Mail account has been streamlined into a wizard to better assist you in configuring an account for use with Sage ACT!.
  • Improved Running Smart Tasks:
  • You can now use a Smart Task's criteria when you manually run that Smart Task against records you select.
  • Updates to Outlook Integration Calendar Synchronization:
  • Updates include: A larger number of days in the future to select from when setting up calendar sync, and Sage ACT! Schedule with contact names now appear in the details of activities synchronized to your Outlook calendar.
  • Lookup in Navbar can be Hidden:
  • The Lookup feature located at the top of the Navigation bar now has a preference to hide the feature. To hide Lookup in the Navbar, go to Tools>Preferences. Click Startup. Clear the check box to hide it.
