- Cloud Ready: multiple components of XtraBanner were revised to better support a cloud or hosted deployment. This includes the ability to specify alternate credentials in order to connect to a Configuration Point hosted in the cloud, ability to search a cloud-based directory (Office 365) for recipients, multi-site configurations, improved installer and more
- Enterprise Improvements: Searching for directory objects can now be scoped to a specific domain in a multi-domain forest, or the entire directory (Global Catalog search)
- Multi-Site Configuration: XtraBanner can now be configured to host multiple isolated sites. Each site has its own configuration, security and rules, and can be managed independently. This is mostly useful for hosted environments and for organizations with isolated departments or sub-companies, sharing a single e-mail infrastructure
- New "Do Not Enrich" Option: some of your recipients may prefer to receive e-mails from your organization without banners or disclaimers. You can now allow your recipients to exclude themselves from receiving enriched e-mails in the future, by following a simple "please do not enrich emails sent to me" link
- Exchange Edge/Workgroup deployment: several components were revised to allow easier deployment of XtraBanner in a non-domain environment and using Exchange Server 2010 / 2013 SP1 Edge Transport role
- Sender Domains: you can now add entire domains to a sender condition
- NET Framework 4.0 and Exchange 2013 compatibility: You can now install all XtraBanner components on newer server O/S (2012 and 2012 R2) without installing legacy .NET framework 3.5 first. New in XtraBanner Manager 2.0.1301.100 (Jul 8, 2013)
- Per-Campaign Statistics: In previous versions of XtraBanner, statistics were saved on a per-rule basis. Starting with XtraBanner 2.0, campaign managers can view per-campaign statistics as well as per-rule aggregated statistics.
- Google Analytics Integration: XtraBanner can now integrate with Google Analytics for measuring and analyzing campaigns. The integration has two parts: (1) XtraBanner tags banner links with UTM tags, so a Google Analytics enabled web page can track and analyze clicks; (2) XtraBanner can fetch click counts from Google Analytics and display them in the XtraBanner Management Console.
- New Security Model: XtraBanner can now be configured with various Application Roles, to which users and groups can be joined. Different permissions can be assigned to each role, to allow or disallow various XtraBanner operations. Configuring security is done through a new user interface in the XtraBanner Management Console - there is no need to manually edit files anymore!
- New "Global Configuration" UI: Configuration options not related to Rules can now be configured through a new "Global Configuration" user interface in the XtraBanner Management Console. There is no need to manually edit files anymore!
- Updated Documentation: The XtraBanner Management Console now includes an updated help file, which covers all new and existing features of XtraBanner. Detailed step-by-step guides are also included for Creating Your First Campaign and Google Analytics Integration.
- Block Keywords: Each XtraBanner Rule can now be configured with an optional "Removable Subject Keyword". The configured keyword(s) will be removed from the subject before sending. Use this feature to allow the end user to prevent adding a banner to a single message.
- Improved Compliance: In some rare cases, we found that e-mails enriched with XtraBanner were blocked by very aggressive content filters. We've improved the XtraBanner enrichment logic. Testing in real-time environments shows that enriched e-mails are now compliant even with those aggressive filters.
- Installer Improvements: Selecting XtraBanner components for installation is now more intuitive. Additional options for adding desktop shortcut and running the Management Console after installation were added. Additionally, installation can now be automated by specifying command-line options.
- Other Fixes and Improvements: Multiple performance, stability, responsiveness and user interface improvements.
