The Good As I expect you've guessed by now, the conclusions for this extensive review will be separated: I will see to my audio stuff and Mr. Ionut Ilascu will do the image work.

First of all, I have to say that the Audio Editor has really impressed me in the most pleasant way: I wasn't expecting such a well-built editor in a software like Blaze Media Pro, especially as I first thought it was just an mp3-player. Even more, all the FX and settings of the type were totally tweakable as if in a major, big-bucks professional editor.

Also, features like the excellently-designed GUI, fast and super-reliable audio conversion, lyrics search and ID-tagging complete the sight of a really amazing piece of code; the fact that the BMP has always run quite smoothly as I/we tested it also adds a good mark to the overall rating.

The Good The video part of the software is absolutely great for home use. It has absolutely everything you need to impress your friends. You can edit your movies and apply a wide range of effects. The burning part is all you need to store your data.

The DVD layout creating feature is impressive. To be frank, I was not expecting such a feature and it kind of caught me off guard.

One of the features of the video part that truly made my day was the Video Capture. You can record your screen and save it as video file. And you have all the options you need to make a quality movie. This feature is useful for those who want to make software tutorials.

The Video Batch Processor will perform the same adjustments to the selected frames and images. That's a fast way to "level" the frames and images, all at once.

The Video to Flash feature will allow the user to convert the AVI, MPEG and WMV video files into SWF or FLV and integrate the movie into a larger project on the Internet.

Compiling a movie from still pictures is done nice and smart and Decompiling a movie into separate frames saved in image format is a snatch.

If you want to see the supported formats take a peek in the Help file. You will be surprised of the number of audio and video formats the software can work with.

The Bad From me - really no bad things in BMP, with one exception: where is the EQ? I could not see the equalizer, in case the BMP has one; nevertheless, if the Blaze Media Pro had the EQ at hand - just for a bit of variation or even help while listening to music - it could be one close-to-perfection bundled software among its peers.

The Bad Although the software is called Pro, I do not recommend it for professional video editing. For the burning part, a pretty nagging thing is the fact that you have to select the writing speed before every CD/DVD burning.

The Truth "You want the truth? You can't handle the truth!" I was first tempted to say. Well, this quote may receive a bit of modifications when applied to the Blaze Media Pro: you CAN handle the truth! And truth is that this program is worth more than the 50 bucks it's selling for.

The soundworks in BMP are simply great and, for this, it really deserves my highest ranking and my congrats to the team that developed this program. It's been a long time since I have laid my eyes and hands on such a complex and complete sound-related software, a true multimedia center and a smashingly full-featured processing unit.

The Truth Blaze Media Pro includes all the features the user needs in order to manipulate the video formats and achieve a pro-like result. And you can do this at home. In my opinion the software is worth more than a try. The software is way above $80, and yet you can buy it for $50.
