In order to avoid seeing the same image over and over again, we have a feature that is called "customization", because the desktop background can say quite a lot of things about people's personalities and even about their mood.
If we're talking about desktops, background images and wallpapers, why not talk about a software app that is meant to change a little bit of our personality from time to time? Not so long ago, while I was searching for some desktop backgrounds, I came over a piece of software named Evjo Wallpaper Changer. The concept is very simple. We all get tired and bored with the same desktop wallpapers but we either never find the time to change them periodically or we're just not in the mood to search for new images. Evjo Wallpaper Changer does the job for us.
Practically, Evjo Wallpaper Changer is a software application that was designed to change the desktop images periodically choosing from a set of wallpapers that were previously uploaded by you. In fact you may easily select a photo gallery and Evjo Wallpaper Changer will automatically change the images at a specified time.
Let's discuss about the interface for a while. The GUI is very friendly and easy to use, no sophisticated buttons, no hidden options and no more wasted time. All you have to do is select and upload your favorite photo gallery - family, friends, nature or cars are now a mouse click away.
Regarding the photo galleries we have two choices. The first one allows us to load into the main interface of the program a folder that contains some of our favorite images. The second choice and maybe one of the best parts of Evjo Wallpaper Changer is that you can easily download a set of photos from Flickr based on keywords like: wallpaper, beach, ocean and much more. This enables you to track photos using tags, text and even user photos.
When inserting a new photo gallery into the program you may easily choose the position of each desktop image, for example: stretched, center and others. Another best part is that you will be able to combine photos from your galleries with Flick photos, so you won't get bored that easily. When changing the wallpapers you may opt for the next image or a random change.
Moving on to another feature of this program, we have the "Frequency" submenu, which offers you the possibility to further customize the image. Here you can go for a variety of combinations that regard the displayed images and the changing order. For example the default wallpaper can be first changed when the program is loaded. From here you may choose a random change of images at a specified time, between 1 minute and several hours. Also, you can go for wallpaper changing at a certain hour plus wallpaper changing at sunrise and sunset and if even this doesn't fulfill your needs, you can count on the hotkeys to change the wallpaper whenever you want.
Next, if you take a look at the Options menu you will be pretty impressed by the fact that you can choose from a large variety of preinstalled languages along with the possibility to assign a desired hotkey for wallpaper changing. Another good part of Evjo Wallpaper Changer is that you will be able to draw your own logo or add a logo from your computer.
So, considering all the described features of Evjo Wallpaper Changer, I can say that it is quite an interesting and useful program to use when you are bored with your old wallpaper or you want to add a little color to your personality.
The Good
In my opinion the best part of Evjo Wallpaper Changer is the possibility to choose not only your favorite images but also Flickr galleries if you can't find the desired pictures. Another strong point is the large array of customization options regarding the image change interval.
The Bad
It would not be fair to say that Evjo Wallpaper Changer has no bad parts. During the testing of this program the only upsetting thing that I found was when I inserted a very large photo gallery and tried to randomly change the photos using the hotkeys. Because of the amount of photos a lag appears between the moment you press the hotkeys and the time the wallpaper is changed.
The truth
Overall, I find this program quite interesting, especially for people who spend all day at the office in front of the computer. Evjo Wallpaper Changer can provide a bit of relaxation from time to time. And if this is not enough you should know that Evjo Wallpaper Changer is freeware so everyone can benefit from its features.
