SUPERAntiSpyware has received a significant update, incrementing the build number to 5.7. This may look like a minor release, but it brings to the table extended functionality and usability through new tools and a revised interface.

Chief among the new features is the possibility to detect potentially unwanted programs (PUPs) and to eliminate them from the system.

The developer has condensed the interface and placed the most important tools under a single screen. This panel includes access to quarantine, scan logs, task scheduler, repair features, and configuration options of the application.

Another modification is streamlining the self-service licensing to offer an easier way to retrieve and reset the license codes.

Compared to version 5.6, the new SUPERAntiSpyware sports a utility for deleting files that are difficult to remove from the computer; the option is available in the context menu of Windows Explorer, too. Additionally, the application comes with strengthened persistent file removal management.

SUPERAntiSpyware is available both as a free and paid (regularly available for $29.95 / €21.77) product and the main difference is lack of real-time protection and automatic updates in the freebie.
