The advantages of the SRT (Secure Reliable Transport) protocol in the world of online video streaming are numerous and enhanced by the fact that the protocol is offered as open-source. Not only does this provide a low latency stream of both local and remote media files, but also accounts for several key aspects that are the governing parameters of such endeavors. For instance, packet loss prevention and maintaining stream quality.

Happytime SRT Client was designed in order to provide users with specialized means to perform playback of multiple SRT streams simultaneously, thanks to its modular and configurable playback interface.

Encoding of H264 and H265 protocols are supported, and so is the AAC format, together with offline reconnection capabilities. Just as with its pusher brother, Happytime SRT Pusher, it also offers cross-compilation and automatic detection of the hardware on the machine that it’s installed on.

Aside from the aforementioned automatic detection, the application also offers automatic decoder matching, as well as for the rendering chain, which is correlated with automatic hardware support adjustment.

Last but not least, synchronous playback is offered, for both audio and video and the multi-core decoding technology adapts to the configuration found on the given machine.
