Keep track of your dreams/sleep schedule and take notes, store keywords or symbols with this intuitive and straightforward application #Dream diary #Dream database #Sleep schedule #Diary #Tracker #Dream
With all the activities that need to be performed on a daily basis, time seems to go by incredibly fast. This means you might not get to write down all info you need, especially for your own personal interest. However, applications like My Dream Diary help you keep notes and ideas in an organized environment, taking little time to add and save each entry.
The application is designed to help you keep track of dreams, but the way it’s design makes it come in handy for a lot more than that. Several panels make navigation easy between your archive, comments, special keys, with the writing pad always at your disposal, and editable on the spot.
All notes are stored in a side panel according to date, with the possibility to add more entries in a single day. Configuring one is a walk in the park, with options for title, time, falling asleep, and wake up time, memory evaluation, and whether or not it was a lucid dream. Just make sure to hit the New item button, because removing existing fields after a save, editing, and saving again only overwrites the last entry.
Text can benefit from general font customization, with options to change style, size, and type, but this applies for the whole document. What’s more, pictures can’t be added, and even though it’s a minor convenience, it would have been a good addition.
In case you want to keep track of specific items, maybe encountered in more dreams, you can add multiple keys, which are highlighted in every document. Selecting and entry also shows the number of key occurrences.
Since it’s a diary, the application first launches with a prompt asking for a set of credentials. Multiple profiles can be created, each with a custom name, and password. When enough data is created, the application can help you build statistics, or export data to HTML.
Taking everything into consideration, we can say that My Dream Diary is a practical utility to store notes in an organized environment, and a good practice to remember dreams by writing them down. Customization options are a little shallow, but the overall set of features makes it worth a try, and there’s even a portable edition you can try out.
