The process is very simple, all you have to do is enter a corresponding title, set the sleep and wake-up time and type in what you dreamt about. You have the option to import archives from MDD and DRM files or an FTP server.

My Dream Diary Portable lets you change the font type, style and size from the "Profile" menu, however, there is no choice of modifying the background color or insert images, date and time or symbols to add a touch of personality. Plus, you can mark if the dream was lucid and a memory evaluation note.

The tool provides a symbol dictionary contains all added figures, patterns or logos along with their various meanings taken from books or the Internet, in order for you to interpret them easier. The key panels helps you keep track of particular terms that are present in more than one dream and are highlighted in each document they appear.

From the menu, additional settings can be enabled, such as save login data, highlight color, icon set, suggestions, together with document, symbol and key encoding. The tool offers the option to search for specific words and replace them with others. The database can be exported as HTML or MDD file format.
