Analyze Docsis configuration files and export results to file using this Java-based application that doesn't require installation #Docsis analyzer #Configuration analysis #Docsis configuration #Docsis #Configuration #Analyzer
CMDownloader is a feather-light Java-based application that gives you the possibility to perform an analysis on Docsis configuration files. It doesn't integrate complicated options or customization settings, making it accessible to all types of users. Plus, it lets you export results to file for closer examination.
As long as you have Java installed on the PC, you don't need to set up anything else. This means that you can save the app directory anywhere on the disk and just click the executable to launch CMDownloader.
It's also possible to copy it to a USB flash drive to run it on any workstation effortlessly. An important aspect worth noting is that, unlike most installers, it doesn't modify Windows registry settings.
The user-friendly interface consists of a small window with a plain and simple structure. It doesn't include impressive graphical elements, but it's easy to navigate.
All you have to do is select a text file with the configuration file names, enter the TFTP server IP address, and click a button to start the analysis operation.
You can ask the tool to keep the configuration files in the temporary directory. In order to save results to file, it's necessary to establish the file name, saving directory, and format (.rtf, .xls or .csv). There are no other notable options provided by this software application.
We haven't come across any stability issues in our tests, thanks to the fact that CMDownloader didn't hang, crash or display error messages. It had a good response time and carried out an analysis job swiftly while remaining light on system resources consumption.
Unfortunately, it hasn't been updated for a long time, and it's not compatible with the latest Java editions. Nevertheless, you can test it for yourself.
