Console Calculator

Console Calculator is a tiny and portable advanced calculator that permits you to save and run simple arithmetic scripts. It offers support for pi as well as binary, decimal and hexadecimal modes.

Since there is no setup pack involved, you can save the program files in any location on the disk and just click the executable to launch Console Calculator.

Alternatively, you can move it to a USB flash drive to directly run the app on any PC with minimum effort and no other installers. It doesn't make any changes to the Windows registry configuration.

The user-friendly interface consists of a console where you can type strings of characters just like working with a text editor. It has menu and tool bars too.

You can select all text, copy, cut and paste it, clear everything to start from scratch, hide the toolbar and status bar, toggle between radian and degree mode, as well as select the calculation mode between binary (base2), decimal (base10) and hexadecimal (base 16).

You can customize font settings, save the project as a text file or script, print information, insert the pi constant, choose the scientific notation kind (e.g. engineering, financial), and personalize the text and background colors.

Additional program settings can be configured. For instance, you can display the separator character for thousands along with 32-bit two's complement (for hex and binary), adjust the frame's transparency, change the default command history size, make the frame stay on top of other windows, minimize Console Calculator to the systray to make it non-intrusive, or allow multiple instances.

There were no type of problems throughout our evaluation, thanks to the fact that the application didn't freeze, crash or prompt error dialogs. It used low CPU and RAM, so it didn't hamper performance.

Console Calculator supplies you with advanced scientific options for performing math operations. Too bad it hasn't been updated for a long time.
