Blue Iris Performance Advisor

If you’re an avid user of the graphical suite provided by Blue Iris, there’s a high chance that you’ve spent some time creating and adjusting your own, custom configurations. To that end, one of the main reasons why one would invest in optimizing a particular configuration, is to increase processing and overall performance.

Blue Iris Performance Advisor was designed specifically for such uses, providing users with a purpose-fit tool for analyzing their Blue Iris software configurations’ characteristics and providing them with an appraisal of the detected issues.

Although only in the so called “proof-of-concept” stage according to the developer, the application will however be capable of automatically identify the Blue Iris profiles where the “Direct-to-disc recording” feature is not enabled, and it will allow users to easily initiate it, through a single click for each of the detected cameras.

Relying on a central platform for all operations, the app provides an overview of the identified issues, the detected configuration summary, the available backups and the settings for the automated advisor.

Users must be aware though, that the changes performed through Blue Iris Performance Advisor will not take effect until the main Blue Iris program is restarted and that compatibility-wise, only version 5.0.6.6 and higher will work.
