Create DPX Files

Digital Picture Exchange, also referred to as DPX, is a graphic file extension which has been created by Kodak. Despite the fact that DPX files are somewhat similar to CIN ones, DPX images also contain additional data in their file headers.

In order to be able to create DPX images, users will need to choose a compatible software solution.

The main reason for creating DPX files is that this format is typically used for transferring film pictures with no quality loss.

Applications that support DPX creation will also allow users to rotate the source images, crop them and even apply effects before converting them to the DPX format.
